BMMI is a major international player in the provision of contract-based food and consumables supply services for overseas governments and non-government organizations in the Middle East and Africa.

The Group’s contractual business activities are supported by an international, state-of-the-art logistics and supply chain infrastructure, and a major ongoing investment in human resources development, information and communications technology, supply chain management, and a state-of-the-art warehousing and distribution infrastructure.
 
In addition, through its long-established shipping operations, BMMI provides specialist port agency, vessel husbandry, container liner, freight-forwarding and marine survey services.
 
Current major contracts in the GCC include a US$0.25 billion five-year Prime Vendor food and consumables supply contract for the US Defense Supply Centre Philadelphia, covering Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia; and a five-year Port Husbandry contract for the US Navy 5th Fleet based in Bahrain.

In Djibouti, East Africa, BMMI was awarded a two-year logistics contract by the US Agency for International Development (USAID). It is also currently servicing several logistics and supply contracts for foreign militaries; and food supply contracts for several major hotels.
