Ali gets first place at Cherry Tree Trot
BMMI recently ran for charity at the biennial Cherry Tree Trot (CTT), which was organised by the American Women’s Association (AWA), and took home the first place position!
CS&S Accounts Officer, Ali Ghurbal, put his running shoes on and sprinted towards the finish line at the Bahrain International Circuit on December 5th. Running in the 30 – 50 age category, Ali came first place beating the other organisations that took part.
The event, which is organised to raise money for people with special needs across Bahrain, was divided into five different races, including a 2km run for disabled athletes and four races for able-bodied participants. A walkathon was also organised. Approximately BD33,000 was raised and BMMI are proud to have been part of this event.
Well done Ali and we look forward to the next CTT!
