The first batch of employees to enrol in Ignite, BMMI’s in-house e-learning system, have successfully completed their journey!

Over a 100 employees were able to pass their courses, in BMMI’s first foray into the world of e-learning.

The Ignite team recently awarded the first person to pass their course, Jawaher Alwardi, Accounts’ Officer, who was able to complete the Goal Setting virtual course in only five days! “The course had excellent content and coursework and it helped in improving my knowledge,” said Jawaher. “Moreover, the course supported me in applying the knowledge gained in both my personal and professional lives. The portal consisted of a combination of text and video materials that were very well structured and organised, and this made my learning experience much more interesting and encouraged me to achieve the learning outcome,” she added.

With Igniters coming from various divisions and departments in BMMI, the Ignite team conducted a number of sessions across Bahrain locations to help familiarise employees with the new platform. “We conducted sessions to around 70 employees from various departments to introduce the benefits of e-learning, as well as familiarise them with the way the system works and the courses and material it contains,” said Mahdi Jawad, Learning & Development Manager. “Employees were excited and eager to learn how to use the new system and we have had some great participation and results!” he added.

Igniters were particularly pleased with the system’s flexibility and the diversity of topics it offered. “I really appreciate the support given by the company to learn through Ignite,” said Bency Benitta, Recruitment Specialist. “It was good to have this learning experience that is flexible to our needs and busy schedule. The topics had relevant content with additional materials from various sources giving a wider learning. I would encourage those interested in self-learning to try e-learning for themselves!” she added.

With an outpouring of positive response from Igniters, the Ignite team has been busy at work improving the system even more! The second batch of Igniters will have access to 15 more modules, in addition to the ones that were available to the first batch. They have also introduced a self-enrolment feature, to help make it even easier for Igniters to take on new courses and improve their learning!

“We are always looking to improve users’ experience and help them gain the most knowledge out of Ignite. We are very excited about the new changes and we cannot wait for the next batch of Igniters to experience it for themselves,” said Mahdi Jawad.
