Late last month, President & CEO, Gordon Boyle, had a nice, long conference call with our team in Djibouti, via Skype.

The call went smoothly, with no issues, and both parties had a lot to share.

Some of the employees present during the team call introduced themselves and their roles and what they hope to achieve whilst working at BMMI Djibouti. Operations Manager, Madre Poobarlen even talked through the operation of USAID in Djibouti.

But it wasn’t all about their personal goals. The team also wanted to share and discuss their vision for BMMI Djibouti and what their near future goals are.

Gordon was able to give advice, and explained how as BMMI Djibouti is the Group’s first operation in Africa, it’s an important one for him.

The highlight for BMMI Djibouti Finance Manager, Amina Abdi, was the focus BMMI is placing on women in leadership roles throughout the Group. The team was delighted to hear that BMMI were taking the initiative to foster inclusivity into the workplace.
