Anke Brandt, a previous Red Bull Bahrain employee, is a talented kite surfer with a tangible passion and a drive. BMMI is proud to have supported and been part of Anke’s journey from the get go. As a world record holder, aiming to inspire people to live their dream and to never give up is part of her ethos. She claims that ‘you never know your true limits until you push them’ and we couldn’t agree more!

Almost two years ago, Anke set sail with a team of 6 and travelled around Bahrain on a 12-hour mission and kite-surfed 250km straight into the Guinness Book of World Records.

Anke had spent months preparing for round two and spent most of her summer time training in Berlin, Fehmarn, and Cape Town. She set sail again, on a longer, more ambitious journey to break her own record set in 2014.

This time Anke and her team went from Bahrain to the UAE, 550km being on the water nonstop for almost 22 hours. Today, we are glad to announce that after 12 hours of kiting at night, Anke passed her 250km mark and hit 258km breaking her previous world record!
