Our second batch of Productivity Improvement Programme (PIP) students have started their training!

Thirteen of our employees started Level One of the Productivity Improvement Programme (PIP). The initial three-day training session recently took place in Downtown Rotana Hotel on August 22, 23 and 24.

The program, designed and delivered by JAFCON Consultants for Productivity Improvement, is accredited by the Institute of Management Services (IMS) in the United Kingdom.

The PIP aims to help participants identify areas and methods to improve productivity, as well as the skills to measure work productivity levels using internationally recognised tools. The program adopts a ‘learning by doing’ approach and consists of three levels. The first level is a three-day interactive workshop, whereas the second level will involved of identifying a productivity improvement project, with the final level focusing on the preparation of the plan’s implementation, as well as performing initial action points..

One of the participants, Madhu Menon, Team Leader in GSS Bahrain, describes the training perfectly, “It was indeed a productive and rather awakening session! Though most of the things we learnt were known to us, the practitioners showed us a different perspective altogether of looking at things. The productivity/performance improvement tools were quite simple and effective. We can all definitely put that in practice to make our working environment a better place. Most importantly, we were taught how small little changes can make a big difference in our stream of work, increasing productivity and profitability of the organisation. Thank you to JAFCON and to BMMI’s IMS team who have organised this initiative!”

Dr Akbar Jaffari, Chief Executive of JAFCON also shared some insightful advice with the participants. “Hard time, agony and insecurity are the main indicators that you are heading for achievements then success…your volatility and not your stability, is the strongest motivator for changing your stance at work and in life, for the better,” he shared.

A big thank you is owed to Dr Akbar and his team of consultants, Mr Jalal Majeed, Mr Ebrahim Radhi and Mr Ahmed Jaffari for delivering such well received training. The participants are now in the process of planning their projects and we would like to take this opportunity to wish them the best of luck in carrying them out!
