The hard work put in by the IMS and Djibouti teams, in preparation for the Stage Two audit for Food Safety Management System, ISO 22000:2005, in Djibouti was worth all the effort as the audit was successfully completed!

In line with the company’s strategic goals of implementing this phase for the business, outside of Bahrain, the team worked tirelessly to ensure everything was completed in time.

The Stage Two audit was conducted at the end of November by Bureau Veritas over a span of two days. The FSMS ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System Certification provides a framework for effectively managing the organisation's food safety responsibilities and is based on existing ISO standards. It demonstrates that the company has a robust Food Safety Management System in place that meets the requirements of customers and consumers.

The FSMS ISO 22000:2005 certification will be added to BMMI Djibouti’s existing Quality Management Systems & Occupational health and safety (OHSAS) certifications, making BMMI Djibouti one of the leading companies in the region.
