RAK Week
BMMI took part in the annual global Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Week, which kicked off on Sunday, February 12.
RAK Week is the time dedicated to connecting BMMI employees through small acts of kindness and spreading happiness around our offices. As usual, everyone is encouraged to add spontaneous random acts, including coffee-hours, giveaways, compliments and surprises in every direction!
Sparks were flying around the office as employees handed each other ‘Happy’ and ‘Thank You’ notes, as well as sweet treats, to express their appreciation for one another. The spirit is always amplified at this time, and people literary spread kindness like confetti.
The Corporate Communications & CSR team played matchmaker this time; inviting everyone to join in a book swap, or as we like to call it, a ‘blind date with a book’. The book swap was a great way to spread the kindness, especially by having people share something they have personally enjoyed with others.
Remember, ‘we rise by lifting others’, so never underestimate the power of small gestures, they have power to change lives in ways you can’t imagine.
Imagine what the world would be like if each person did one kind thing for someone else. Celebrating kindness is important all year-round. If you have any suggestions or ideas for us to boost morale and spread a few smiles, send your thoughts to communications@bmmi.com.bh.
