Over a three-month period, the IT team launched a project that was self-driven by two enthusiastic members of the department.

Ali Mohammed and Mohammed Al Ameer teamed up earlier this year and proposed a new programme that would streamline the finance end of month process to consolidate the financials, for both the Beverages and Alosra teams. This is done through auto-checking the interface files exchanged between the retail application and BMMI’s ERP. The system notifies the finance team, in a timely manner, of any interface errors, and provides the reason leading to the error, enabling them to action them immediately.

Further to that, the system was enhanced to include a control measure that ensures that the price compliance is in place in our retail shops, and notify the business of any price discrepancy between the back office and the POS, as soon as it happens.

The hard work put into this project, as well as the initiative taken in order to help their colleagues, was admirable and deserving of recognition. In a small ceremony, Vice President of IT, Aiman Alorayedh, handed them both Winning Hearts certificates, for going above and beyond. They truly displayed our Winning Hearts values of team spirit and excellence.
