For the year 2017, the BLS operations, which handles the internal logistics for GSS Bahrain, Alosra storage and alosraonline.com orders, as well as the beverages home delivery, aimed to reduce cost and optimize the utilisation of storage and trucks.

The team started focusing on external third party logistics (3PL). During the last six months, the team were able to put 3PL business at its maximum, which resulted in an enormous growth in revenue and registered a new income of BD70,000. The total volume the team handled was over 628,700 cases, out of which 283,400 cases were frozen goods and the utilisation of storage was 97%.
