One of our dedicated and enthusiastic employees, Ali Salman, recently retired from our Food Production Unit (FPU) after serving the company for many loyal years. It was a sad time when his colleagues said their goodbyes, but someone needed to step up to the plate and fill in his hard working shoes. Saripa Osman Imao, stepped up to the challenge and during the peak sales period, effortlessly managed the section with two mew employees. Saripa trained them and worked long hours to fulfil all the special orders, by being meticulous in all that she does.

FPU Manager Fauzia Fareed awarded Saripa with a Winning Hearts certificate and sharedi that “she has been a revelation and is a real asset to the FPU. She takes pride in fulfilling all normal, as well as special orders, in the sandwich section, which is the main section of the FPU, as we make approximately 1500 sandwiches a day.”

The FPU employees’ hard work doesn’t end there. Chandana Prabath has also proved to be a great team player and has took on multiple jobs in his line of duty.

“He does the cooking in the hot food section, but also works as the Housekeeping Supervisor, working alongside the cleaners,” said Fauzia. “He is instrumental in the cleaning of the FPU, which is one of the reasons we pass all our audits with such flying colours.”

Due to the shortage of employees in the month of December, as many were on their annual leave, Chandana was moonlighting as a sales person at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As a result of his excellent work, we have had extremely good sales, as well as great reviews from the customers.

Chandana was also awarded with a Winning Hearts certificate for his team spirit.
