The GSS Bahrain and BLS team were all about support and recognition lately, when they stepped up during tough times and not only exceeded expectations but supported one another and displayed our values of team spirit and excellence, by going the extra mile!
Noor Ghazi and Ali Ghurbal were nominated for their continuous values of team spirit and excellence in handling customer accounts and managing prepayments. GSS Bahrain was recently awarded a purchase order for the supply of Diesel Oil Drums to a client in Djibouti. Both Noor and Ali were quick to support the team by completing the process within 3 working days, helping meet the tight delivery schedule set by the customer.
Prasanth Reddy and Tareq Ahmed’s relentless efforts to ensure a high-end customer service was a key factor to the re-award of one of our agreements. They worked extensively to capture this opportunity, going through several rounds of submissions, plus rigorous negotiations. Their efforts of going the extra mile for supporting the customer paved way to winning this agreement.
Within a month of joining, Subhash Kunnath participated in the process of rebidding for one of our major key clients, who serves the US Navy in Bahrain for the supply of non-food related items. He was tasked to identify genuine suppliers with market credibility and price advantage. During the submission’s due date set in the contract, Subhash displayed excellent flexibility by working with the team round the clock to ensure the online submission was completed before deadline. The team truly appreciated his team spirit at time of need.
Providing exceptional service is a key ingredient for retention of customers and this stretches the team when unexpected changes happen to delivery schedules. When a client notified us last minute on a Friday evening that the Sunday delivery was preponed to Saturday morning, Gilbert Vincent took a U-turn from his way to church and requested a prepone of delivery from over 15 suppliers. As a result Sunil Kumar, who returned after a night of stock take, returned back to work in the early hours of Saturday to evaluate stocks for arranging packing, palletising and on-time delivery. The support given to not only the team but also the client was truly recognised by everyone in the department.
Lastly, as the GSS team have been shuffling through the Bahrain Sitra HQ, relocating as the floor was under renovation, Chitra and Mangal helped the entire team with packaging, transfers and made the relocation feel less challenging. They were present wherever a helping hand was needed and were great team players!
