Assistant Sales Manager, Mars

Reporting to the Mars Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the execution of the brand strategy for Mars across all channels in Bahrain. Your responsibility will include managing the daily sales to ensure that the annual budgeted targets are achieved. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting the operations to ensure team-related activities, market activation, shipment to customers, targeted volume and revenue, distribution targets, and market coverage targets are in line with the journey plans, budgets, and strategies. The successful candidate will also be tasked with ensuring proper implementation of brand planograms, monitoring stock levels, and reporting market trends, expiry issues, and debtor levels.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales and marketing, or equivalent.
  • Certified Leadership Training / Development programmes.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English (Arabic skills are an advantage).
  • Valid Bahraini driving license.

Years of Experience and Other Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sales Team Leader role.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the FMCG industry.
  • Proven experience in driving and managing a Sales Team to achieve annual budgeted sales targets.
  • Should have experience in handling large retail formats like hypermarkets and supermarket chains.


  • Able to identify potential new business and address opportunities.
  • Develop excellent relationships with customers and principals and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Able to supervise, motivate, coach, and manage a multinational team.
  • Communication and presentation skills.
