BMMI provides comprehensive supply chain, warehousing and distribution services through its wholly-owned subsidiary Bahrain Logistics Services (BLS)
Formed in 1997, BLS is the logistical arm of the BMMI Group and provides high quality, competitively priced services related to purchase order management, inventory management, warehousing and distribution. BLS’ facilities feature a state-of-the-art temperature controlled warehousing complex, a large fleet of vehicles, various security measures and a highly trained team, as well as the support of the larger BMMI Group. Per year, BLS handles approximately 49 million Bahraini dinars ($130 million) worth of procurement commodities, as well as a throughput exceeding five million cases and 96,000 delivers, including B2B and B2C, worth over 70 million Bahraini dinars ($185.7 million).
BLS’ multi-purpose facility covers an area of 28,000 square meters and includes the Sitra Distribution Centre, a purpose built, temperature controlled, warehousing complex, covering over 8,000 square meters, with the capacity to hold more than 10,000 pallets.
The facility contains dedicated areas for chilled and frozen storage. Temperature/humidity and effective fire prevention systems are constantly monitored using high-tech automated monitoring systems. Their modern warehouse technology also includes the use of mobile racking, as well as the fully computerised inventory control and warehouse management systems, Oracle ERP.
Additionally, BLS also owns a dedicated bonded warehouse (duty-free) covering 2,500 square meters in Mina Salman, with the capability to handle high duty items.
BLS operates a large fleet of modern tractor-trailers and trucks, and has the capacity and experience to handle temperature-controlled deliveries throughout the GCC region and neighbouring countries.
Additionally, their highly trained team is able to cater to various delivery needs without any delays, including home deliveries and same-day deliveries.
BLS also provides management of customs and clearance, as well as freight forwarding, in collaboration with other divisions of BMMI.
The entirety of BLS’ facilities are protected around the clock using the latest state-of-the-art security systems, as well as a dedicated control room. Security cameras are placed in strategic locations around the facilities and are monitored by a highly trained team of security professionals. In the event of a power failure, the facilities’ high capacity generates provide comprehensive and instant backup.

BLS’ team consists of 120 employees, including experienced management, quality assurance inspectors, procurement specialists, inbound administrators, customs clearance officers, storekeepers, heavy-duty drivers, home delivery associates and warehouse assistants.
