BMMI kicked off its annual Health & Safety Week with an opening ceremony at its Head Office in Sitra. Set to take place from 22 to 26 April, the event aims to focus, reinforce and strengthen employee commitment to preventing injury and illness in the workplace. Supported by a number of fun activities, workshops, health check-ups and competitions, employees will learn all about the importance of health and safety at work and what they can do to protect themselves as well as those around them.
“At BMMI, the Health & Safety of our employees is of the utmost importance to us. This is why every year we dedicate an entire week to focus on the significance of health and safety in the workplace,” explains Suttish Boodoo, BMMI Bahrain Health & Safety Manager. “Now in its third year, the BMMI Health & Safety Week is only getting bigger and better. This year we have even organized the first ever BMMI HSE Conference & Workshop which will bring together HSE representatives from all our locations across the Middle East and Africa to engage in constructive dialogue.”
For the three-day conference, BMMI has partnered with industry experts from local businesses to share safety experiences, solutions and best practice.
“This really is a great opportunity for the Health & Safety team to get our message out to as many employees as possible and make them realize that Health & Safety is everyone’s responsibility. By being more aware of how we work and of our surroundings, we can all help to achieve zero accidents!”
