Your fresh and friendly supermarket is at it once again, opening its seventh branch within the Kingdom of Bahrain. After pushing geographical boundaries and opening up in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Alosra supermarket is setting its sights on growing locally. The new location will be in Janabiya, right off the Sheikh Isa Bin Salman Highway at the corners of Avenue 27 and 79. Visible from the highway, the location offers quick and easy access to both neighbourhood residents returning from Manama and morning commuters headed to Saudi Arabia.

Alosra will be the anchor supermarket of the impressive new neighbourhood market – El Mercado- Janabiya a project by First Bahrain Real Estate Development Co. The beautifully landscaped open-air retail centre will feature a mix of restaurants, cafes and shops. Built on an elevated platform, the market will offer scenic southern views in a vehicle-free pedestrian environment, which will also feature 160 covered car parks. El Mercado Janabiya is expected to open to the public in Spring 2016

Alosra was first established in 1987, with one branch located in the Central Market in Manama, Bahrain. Today the branch has six outlets in Bahrain (Amwaj, Saar, Nakheel Centre, Riffa Views, Durrat Al Bahrain and at Al Raya Complex in Juffair) and a recently opened branch in Dhahran Tower, Al Khobar, KSA.  A bakery offering fresh out of the oven pastries and cakes, butchery with the finest cuts of meat and a produce departments offering fruits and vegetables from all over the world, are amongst some of the fresh food departments customers will be enjoying with Alosra. Not to mention, the To Go variety of fresh sandwiches, crudités, salads and meals, will be perfect for bypassers in the area.
